Businesses across СƵ and the wider region are invited to “Future СƵ,” a dynamic day of networking and workshops designed to inspire, inform, and empower local enterprises.

Delivered by СƵ City Council and the СƵ, in partnership with Solent Growth Partnership and Hampshire Chamber of Commerce, this event will take place at the New Theatre Royal on Friday 28 November and is set to be a highlight for the city’s business community.

Future СƵ will offer sessions on business networking secrets, available free business support and how to future-proof your team with local talent and AI. With hands-on workshops covering everything from employment law to social media essentials, plus panels tackling the challenges facing employers, businesses will leave with actionable strategies and valuable connections.

Whether through our student-run business support services, our extensive Knowledge Transfer Partnership programme, or Help to Grow Management course, we're here to help businesses access the talent and cutting-edge thinking they need to grow and succeed."

The University's impact on business and communities is among the best in the country, according to Research England’s Knowledge Exchange Framework which is a way of measuring how well universities in England and Wales share knowledge, ideas and experience to benefit both the economy and society. Students and staff run free services which include a Legal Advice Clinic and have recently launched a marketing agency.

The СƵ plays a key role in powering local business growth and innovation. Recognised nationally in the latest Knowledge Exchange Framework (KEF) for its strong partnerships and real-world impact, the University earned top scores for Research Partnerships and IP and Commercialisation, and above-average results for supporting local growth.

From pioneering collaborations like the Forensic Innovation Centre with Hampshire Constabulary, to more than 100 Knowledge Transfer Partnerships helping companies boost performance, СƵ is turning ideas into action. Initiatives such as the ‘Research to Value’ programme - part of the  - is further helping to transform research into commercial success and drive economic growth across the region.
